Paintings from across the competing Islands are to be displayed across the 54 screens of the Island Games, whilst the Pocket Island Poetry anthology and children’s postcards are being distributed to athletes and the community.

Maggie Le Conte – From the heART – Art In The Park

Art at the Park’s new exhibition for July is Maggie Le Conte’s ‘From the HeART’.

Maggie Le Conte will be exhibiting at National Trust of Guernsey’s Art at The Park Gallery, The Folk and Costume Museum, Saumarez Park from Wed 5 July to Friday 28 July. Open 10:00 – 17:00 seven days a week.

Maggie is passionate about art & always encourages everyone to have a go & express themselves, explore & have fun with it. Art can lift the spirit of both the creator & the viewer. If asked what she wants her exhibition to achieve it is this heartfelt sentiment…to lift your spirits.

Liberate Art Club

Join Liberate Art Club at 10:00 on the 15 July for nautical sketching inspired by Stephen Joe Hill Illustration. The group will be returning to the wonderful setting of the Mill Street Community Café!

The session will be focusing on LINE and using different pens and papers, to create bold artworks. 

Please bring a photograph of something you’d like to draw, or choose something from inside the cafe.
