The submission window for the Bailiwick Wildlife Photography Exhibition is due to shut this evening, with local creatives encouraged to get their last minute entries in.

Sponsored by Mourant for another year, the 2026 edition of the Bailiwick Wildlife Photography exhibition is the fifth time it has run, shouting loudly its aims to celebrate Guernsey’s biodiversity.

Since its launch, the number of entries to the competition has increased year-on-year, and it’s anticipated that 2026 will continue that trend.

The exhibition will take place in early 2026, coinciding with the Guernsey Museum and Art Gallery re-opening for the new season.

Louise Le Pelley, the Partnership Development Executive at Guernsey Arts Commission, said: “The Bailiwick wildlife photography exhibition celebrates the biodiversity within Guernsey and the Bailiwick, and it’s been supported by Morant, who are champions of sustainability, and we’re very grateful to them for their support.

“It was an exhibition which came about during covid, when people were spending a lot more time in their gardens, appreciating Guernsey’s nature, and it mirrors the exhibition which the museum have on display, which is from the Natural History Museum.

“So it shows what good wildlife photography looks like on an international level, but it also shows that we’ve got a lot of incredible creatives here who are doing the same thing.”

To anyone who was close to submitting, but hadn’t quite mustered up the courage to showcase their images, Ms Le Pelley said you should.

“Go ahead and submit it, see what happens! It’s such a great exhibition, and it brings so many interesting people from that community together to celebrate their talents.”

Anyone interested in submitting their works can do so online through the Guernsey Arts website HERE – entries close at midnight tonight.
