The ‘Bar Code Leopard’ was given to Martel Maides to auction on Thursday with the fine art experts setting it a starting price of £8,000.
It went up in price to £15,000 before it was ‘sold’ to the winning bidder, who had faced competition from potential buyers in person and over the phone.
