The rescheduled ‘Big Skipton Sleep Out’ is now only one week away, taking place on Friday 20 March at the KGV.
The new date follows the cancellation of the original event in January, which was postponed due to severe weather conditions.
The second annual fundraiser is again supporting Caritas Guernsey and its modular housing project, which aims to address the housing crisis which has left one in 64 people at risk of homelessness or living in insecure housing.
Those taking part in the sleep out will spend one night outdoors to raise funds for a proposed “modular village” of 12 to 24 units.
Caritas says these homes will provide stable accommodation and support for up to two years, helping islanders transition toward permanent independence.
Last year the first Skipton Sleep Out event raised more than £40,000 for Caritas.
Anyone interested in taking part, or wanting to support the fundraising initiative, can do so through the Skipton website.
