While some are remaining closed for the day and reopening their doors tomorrow, others have been up very early preparing for the rush of shoppers.
Next is opening from 06:00 until 18:00 for its Boxing Day sale, while New Look will be open from 08:00 until 17:00.
Other stores to open up for the bank holiday include Land of Green Ginger, White Stuff and Fatface.
Both the Boots stores in Town and on the bridge will be open from 10:00 until 16:00 today.
