Emergency Services attended the scene at Route Des Coutanchez, St Sampsons, where no one was injured.
The road was blocked while the incident was dealt with, but was reopened and gritted once the car had been recovered at around 09.30.
PC Fran Babbe said people were free to use the road again, but advised them to be extremely careful because of the icy conditions.
“It was just because of the weather unfortunately, the vehicle was coming on the bend from the college and slipped up the bank and onto its roof,” PC Babbe said.
“No one was injured at all and it certainly could have been a lot worse. The vehicle was going at a slow speed but hit an ice patch and slipped against the bank.”
Traffic Sergeant, Tom Marshall has also confirmed that while Traffic Wardens will still be on duty, there will be no rigid enforcement for parking tickets.
“Anyone who feels uncomfortable driving in these conditions should leave their vehicles where they are,” a police spokesperson said.
