GTLF is hosting its AGM from 18:00 on Wednesday at Les Caches Farm, Forest.
People are invited to join the committee to listen to a talk by Elizabeth Sweet from the Guernsey Biological Records Centre on “Guernsey’s Hidden Gems: Exploring our secretive, ignored, lost and forgotten wildlife”, which will be followed by a Wassail.
“This is an important gathering to update our members on the progress of the charity and our plans for the future,” said Committee Member Colin Dodd. “We welcome non-members and are very keen to raise awareness of the importance of trees, especially native species, in our island and the work we do in partnership with others.
“We will listen to Liz Sweet who has a wealth of information and experience to share that is relevant to the health of our environment. We will then end the evening with some fun, holding a Wassail, processing by torch light with a cup of mulled cider to toast the Apple orchard in the hope of a good yield in 2021.”
The event starts with drinks and canapes from 18:00. Anyone who wants to attend is asked to RSVP gsytreesforlife@gmail.com or call 07781 165298 as space is limited.
