Nine Coop staff members undertook a walking challenge between stores in Guernsey to raise cash for the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation.

The walk – part of Coop charity week – saw the staff walk from the Longfrie Pharmacy to Vazon Food Store with 15 stops in between.

It took the group six hours to complete the 25km stretch, taking 32,00 steps, and burning 2,500 calories each.

The group also showed their support for five colleagues who will take on a major Vietnam walking challenge to raise funds for the Jersey Cheshire Home.

Coop CEO Mark Cox, who is one of those taking part in the Vietnam Trek, said: “By taking part in the Guernsey Coop to Coop Walk, colleagues supported the incredible work of the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation, as well as our colleagues who are pushing themselves to the limit in Vietnam for Jersey Cheshire Home.

“It’s a great way to give back while enjoying a walk with friends, and colleagues.”
