Islanders who would like to walk through the villages, rice fields and waterfalls of Vietnam are being invited to join a charity trek taking place in the Southeast Asian country next month.
The four-day walk will take place from 18 to 25 October in aid of Jersey Cheshire Home, which runs a residential facility that cares for adults with disabilities.
The Pu Luong trek will start in Hanoi before heading to the mountainous Hoa Binh Province.
Participants will be able to enjoy the company and hospitality of the locals and learn more about their culture and customs.
Registration requires a non-refundable fee of £150, with a minimum sponsorship of £1,600 per trekker.

The Channel Islands Co-operative Society staff members participated in a ‘Coop to Coop’ walk last week to support the trek and raise funds for Jersey Cheshire Home.
Their walk started at Trinity Fuel and finished eight hours later at Pontac, covering 24 Coop premises and 23 miles.
Over 30 staff members took part in a bid to support their five colleagues who are due to take on the Trek Vietnam Challenge next month.
Coop CEO Mark Cox said: “The five of us taking part in the Vietnam Challenge pushed ourselves to the limit to support Jersey Cheshire Home, so we really appreciate the efforts our colleagues went to to get right behind us.
“The Coop to Coop Walk is a great way for everyone in the business to get involved – walking the whole route or just part of it, and every step helps to raise funds for a much valued charity.”
