Guernsey Post is increasing the price of standard letters, both local and UK, starting 1 April, 2025.
Parcel rates, (local and UK large), and the UK £5 fixed return service will remain the same, however, but Guernsey post says more detailed pricing will be available later this month.

Steve Sheridan, CEO of Guernsey Post said the utility’s increasing overheads mean they had no choice but to put the prices up.
“We understand that price changes are never welcome, but we continue to face unprecedented cost increases in our supply chain,” he said.
“While we have worked hard to absorb many of these increases, we cannot avoid passing some on. However, where we have direct control over pricing, such as within the Bailiwick, we have tried to keep any increases broadly in line with local RPI, the exception to this being our local parcel rates which we are pleased to have been able to freeze.
“Additionally, we have held prices in growth areas such as our popular £5 Fixed Returns service; this now accounts for 73% of our returns volumes and will be frozen for the second consecutive year. Our UK large parcel rates will also be frozen to support our local customers. Our focus remains on delivering excellent service whilst balancing the financial pressures affecting the postal and logistics industry. ”
