The programme is being launched in line with guidance from the UK’s Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation and will be delivered by the island’s Primary Care providers.

Those eligible for a booster vaccine are; people 75 and older, residents in care homes for adults, and people aged six months and over who are immunosuppressed.

“The programme will begin on Saturday 13 April and end on Saturday 29 June,” said a spokesperson.

“If you wish to receive your vaccine, please contact your GP surgery once you have received your invitation. Primary Care providers will shortly contact eligible patients to invite them for a booster. For any queries around Covid-19 vaccination please contact your GP practice.”
