The Channel Islands Co-operative Society (Coop) Community Fund is offering financial support to charities and community groups, but the deadline for those interested is close, with applications needing to be in by 30 April.

The fund is open to charities and community groups in the Channel Islands that run projects which bring communities together, promote sustainability, or make a positive difference to the lives of islanders.

Coop CEO, Mark Cox, said he encourages any eligible organisation needing financial help to apply.

“As the Channel Islands only locally owned community retailer, we believe in giving back. Our Community Fund helps bring ideas to life that make a genuine impact in our islands.

“If you’re a charity, cause or community group doing good work and need some financial support, we want to hear from you.”

The fund has previously supported initiatives focused on tackling loneliness, improving mental health, and enhancing local green spaces.
