Dave Mosley has been appointed as Director at Cleland & Co.
The accountancy firm says this is fortifying the leadership team as the company continues to evolve.
Mr Mosley initially joined Cleland & Co in 2023 to provide short-term cover and has stayed ever since.
Over recent months, he has worked closely with Managing Director Vicki Webster and Director Sammie Cox, gaining in-depth knowledge of their portfolios and the full breadth of Cleland & Co’s loyal client base.
Bringing 14 years of experience from a ‘Big Four’ firm, Mr Mosley is said to offer a fresh perspective on audit practices. His extensive background, combined with his technical audit expertise, is helping Cleland & Co stay ahead of industry changes, the firm said.
“Dave has settled into his role quickly, having spent time with us before covering maternity leaves, and his approach has been a great fit for our team,” said Managing Director Vicki Webster.
“He encourages a culture of challenge, bringing a relaxed yet thoughtful leadership style that has been well received by the team. His experience and fresh perspective have reinvigorated our approach to new client areas, particularly in funds, and his appointment strengthens our governance and board structure.”
Mr Mosley joins Ms Webster on Cleland’s board, alongside Chairman Harry Dick-Cleland.
He said his decision to join Cleland & Co has proven to be the right one.

Coming from a ‘Big Four’ background, I was drawn to the opportunity to build stronger, more personal relationships with clients and working for a firm where the decision-making process is more efficient. As a board, we are in control of shaping Cleland’s future, and that’s extremely rewarding.”
Mr Mosley, who has his own client portfolio, is a familiar face in Guernsey’s sporting community, having represented Guernsey in triathlon in the 2019 and 2023 Island Games and competed for Great Britain at age-group events in Europe.
He is currently training for an ironman triathlon in June and targeting qualification for the Orkney 2025 Island Games team in July, balancing a demanding training schedule with his new leadership responsibilities.
