Guernsey Police officers noticed Emma Martin on 4 October 2020, seemingly shouting at no-one in particular near the Prince of Wales.
She then attempted to enter the pub but was stopped by the bouncer, as she was heavily intoxicated.

Police officers told Martin to leave but she refused and continued to swear at them, she was told that she would be arrested if she swore at them again, to which she replied, “f*** off”. She was then arrested.
During the process Martin resisted having handcuffs put on and stamped on one officer’s foot.
During the course of the ordeal, Martin was also taken to A&E for a head injury, where she continued to be aggressive, this time towards hospital staff.

It was said during Martin’s defence that she was very embarrassed of her behaviour and had been suffering from mental illness.
Judge Graeme McKerrell, however, said the incident was an example of “disgraceful behaviour”, as he sentenced Martin to 60 hours community service and handed her a £500 fine.
