David Le Page will be breaking the mould on the typically rock-focused stage just outside the castle entrance, with his sounds said to simulate eastern Europe, Vivaldi, the Velvet Underground and Hendrix.

The festival committee have also announced a new local act which will makes its first appearance at the event.

The Samphire Ensemble take their name from the coastal succulent and were previously known as Town Church Strings.

They will also grace the Castle Stage in August.
