Eugene spent time at a variety of stores ahead of Christmas Day, before visiting the Fire Station too so he could pick up some ‘elf and safety’ tips.

It was all part of efforts to raise some money for the locally based charity which supports needy children and their families in the Bailiwick.

20 shops took part, with each creating a display around the elf. Photos of each entry are now online at elf.gg and there’s a public vote to find the islands’ favourite display.

The vote closes on Sunday 30 December, with the winner announced on New Year’s Eve.

Although it is free to vote, donations for Help a Guernsey Chlld are welcome at giving.gg/donate/charity/303/Help-a-Guernsey-Child-LBG
