Pictured: The yacht was found 10 miles south west of Jersey’s harbour.
After the ‘Lions’ Pride’ located the boat, it stayed airborne and circled the spot whilst awaiting assistance from the RNLI in Jersey, whose crew swiftly towed the sailing boat back to harbour.
The entire operation took three hours from the Air Search crew leaving Guernsey, locating the vessel and returning safely home.
In a Facebook post, the Channel Islands Air Search posted their thanks to “the teams at Guernsey Airport, Jersey Coastguard and the RNLI, and to Tracy for dropping off croissants and orange juice for the crew on their return.”
