An alleged dog attack has left four chickens dead and a cockerel seriously injured in St Peter’s.
Guernsey Police says the birds were injured in an incident on land between Rue De La Cache and Rue Des Vicheris in the parish on Monday 12 May.
“It is believed that a dog may be responsible for the attack and Officers are keen to speak to a woman who was riding a bike with two children on Rue Des Vicheris in the direction of L’Eree,” said a police spokesperson.
“The woman appeared to be trying to gain control of two loose dogs, the dogs are described as being a Boxer type breed.”
The incident is being treated as “an animal attack on livestock”, and anyone with any information, including the woman described above, is asked to contact PC 25 Graves on 222 222 or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
