The GSPCA has been celebrating a successful West Show, while looking forward to this week’s North Show, where it will again be supported by volunteers from Northern Trust.
The finance firm has been working with the charity this summer, as it continues fundraising for its ‘Biggest Build Appeal’ and other causes.

“A huge thank you to everyone who came and visited us at the West Show,” said Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager.
“The support we received over the two days was incredible and it was wonderful to meet so many people interested in animal welfare and out Biggest Build Appeal.
“Our toy tombola was extremely popular and helped raise valuable funds for the animals that need out care.
“We are especially grateful to the team from Northern Trust, who continue to support the GSPCA year after year through volunteering, fundraising and many other initiative. Their help once again made a huge difference.

Three Northern Trust staff volunteered on Wednesday last week, with more on Thursday. Some of them have already supported the charity at other events, and staff from the firm will again be with the charity on Wednesday and Thursday this week when the North Show takes place at Saumarez Park.
Mr Byrne and Tim Pellett, GSPCA Training and Community Officer, were also at the West Show on both days. They met supporters, answered questions and shared updates with interested visitors about how the GSPCA’s work was going.
“The West Show is always one of the highlights of our events calendar and this year was no exception,” said Mr Pellett.
“Despite the wet start on Wednesday morning, the community came out in force and we had a fantastic time speaking to so many showgoers.
“Events like the West Show give us a wonderful to share the work of the GSPCA, promote responsible pet ownership and raise much-needed funds for the charity.”
