A standup comedian once dubbed “one of Britain’s funniest men” will be cracking jokes this week at a Guernsey venue.

Geoff Whiting has performed with many of Britain’s best-known comedians, including Lee Mack, Michael McIntyre, Dara Ó Briain.

Now he’ll be supported by some home-grown talent from the bailiwick, as he heads to KGV for the ‘Improbable Comedy Jam’ on Thursday 21 May.

The gig crowns a successful few years for comedy group ‘The Guernsey Improbables’, which has helped nurture a burgeoning comedy scene on the island.

Co-organiser Sarah Hansmann Rouxel said she was proud to have “given local stand-ups a chance to develop their skills and confidence”.

The evening starts at 20:00, with tickets costing £10.
