This August, GADOC:fringe returns with a bold, bruising double-bill of theatre that refuses to flinch.
Staged in the raw intimacy of the Kerry Luscombe Studio at the Princess Royal Centre for the Performing Arts, where the audience sits almost within arm’s reach of the action, these two one-act plays – Me, Vashya and After Miss Julie – promise a visceral experience like no other. With no curtain to hide behind, the performers are laid bare. And so are the truths they bring.

Director Ethan Hitchon said: “As soon as I read the plays, I knew they had to be performed in the studio. I was thrilled at the idea that the audience will be a fly on the wall as these stories about desire, secrets and mistrust unfold, and seeing what was not meant to be seen by anyone else. By the end, the audience will feel complicit in what they have just witnessed.”
This daring double exploration of power and desire is another slice of unmissable local theatre from GADOC.
Both plays are one act and will be performed back-to-back, with a 15 minute interval in between
