A spaghetti-eating competition, a yard of ale contest, and a silent disco will feature as part of the festivities at the Gorey Fête today.

The event, which was first held in 1947 as the St Martin Gymkhana, raises thousands of pounds for charity every year.

This year, the funds raised from the fête will be shared between Music in Action, Jersey Friends of Anthony Nolan, and Brightly.
