Boat owners are being encouraged to decorate their vessels ahead of Liberation Day – with classic lifeboats, vintage patrol boats, and modern Royal Navy vessels all on show tomorrow too.
With tens of thousands of people expected to descend on St Peter Port, Guernsey Marinas said the harbour will have a “lively atmosphere”.
Dozens of visiting mariners will also be joining in the festivities, contributing to the celebrations.
One of the vintage patrol boats will even be re-enacting the landing of soldiers on the Albert Marina slipway at the end of the parade.
Members of the public will be able to see some of the visiting vessels up close, when they are on display around the Albert Pier.

The 2025 Liberation Day Church Parade will take in most of St Peter Port Harbour during the morning of Friday 9 May.
It will have an extended route starting at North Beach and proceeding along the seafront to the roundabout opposite Castle Pier, before turning back towards the Town Church.
It will be led by the Royal Marines Band Scotland and features contingents from the British Army, Royal Navy, (including HMS DARING), and the Royal Air Force (including 201 Squadron), all of which have ties to Guernsey.
Guernsey’s parade will also host a contingent of Ghurkas, the popular Chelsea Pensioners, the Island Cadet Guard, Elizabeth College Combined Cadet Force, Sea Cadets, Air Cadet Force, Army Cadet Force, RAF Air Cadets, and local veterans representing all three services.
