The RFU has announced that all competitive league rugby this season below Level 2 will be cancelled due to the ongoing impact of the corona virus pandemic, meaning that Guernsey Raiders’ men’s and ladies’ squads will not be participating in any league fixtures for the 2020/21 season.
Joint Chairs Andrea Harris and Charles McHugh said the club is now relying on its supporters to help it through a challenging year.
“Whilst this is a sad announcement for all involved, the Raiders need you now more than ever,” they said. “We are working on ideas to provide essential support for your Club at this difficult time and we will make further announcements in due course.
“In the meantime, you can support us by renewing your membership, supporting events held at the Clubhouse, and help us build towards a bigger, brighter season in 2021/22.”
The rugby club has scheduled five local rugby events between September to December this year and more information about upcoming matches and fundraisers can be found HERE.
