Students receiving their A-Level, IB, or Level 3 qualification results this year have outperformed their peers in England.
The overall Bailiwick A*-E and IB equivalent pass rate (grades 7-2) is 98.3%, compared to 97.4% in England.
English students outperform ours at the very highest grades though with 28.2% of English students achieving A* or A grades, compared to 25.9% of Guernsey students.

The new President of the Committee for Education, Sport & Culture, Deputy Paul Montague said he was thrilled to read of all of the students’ results yesterday.
“After over thirty years of teaching, I know how much hard work, commitment, worry, relief and joy is wrapped up in results day. These Level 3 qualifications (whether they are technical, vocational, A-Levels, IB Certificates or the previously released excellent IB Diploma results) aren’t just about exams, they’re about all the effort, challenges and successes that have brought students to this point. The results reflect that dedication.
“On behalf of the Committee, I’d like to say well done to every student receiving results. Be proud of what you’ve achieved. Whatever you do next, you are not just taking with you a grade, but the learning and character that got you there. And to the teachers, lecturers, education staff, families and friends who’ve been guiding and supporting these students along the way, we also say thank you.”

His words were echoed by both Elizabeth Coffey, the Executive Principal of the Secondary School Partnership and Dr Louise Misselke, Principal of TGI College.
“Congratulations to our students collecting their results,” said Ms Coffey. “Well done to everyone. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported our students on their Sixth Form journey, and we look forward to hearing about their exciting plans for the future.”
Dr Misselke added: “Our 2025 cohort has once again shown what’s possible through determination and resilience. Whether progressing into employment, higher education or further training – be that on island, in the UK or beyond – our students are stepping into their futures with confidence. We’re extremely proud of them and grateful to all the staff who have supported their journeys.”
