At Home in Guernsey has moved into temporary offices in St Peter Port.
The charity said its new base, at 2 Cornet Street, provided a “welcoming and accessible base for its work supporting islanders who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness”.
A spokesperson said the move was a “temporary arrangement”, with help from the States and Specsavers, to “ensure the charity has suitable accommodation… while longer-term options are explored”.
Charlie Cox, CEO of At Home In Guernsey, said: “Being able to meet with clients in a neutral, safe, warm space to hear their stories, complete paperwork, or meet with other agencies is so important.”

Ms Cox thanked Specsavers – for giving the charity space at its headquarters when it set up and for donating furniture for the new office, as well as the States for the new space, in the former Tax Office, which “further cements the commitment from Government to end homelessness”.
‘Doing amazing work’
Deputy Garry Collins, Homelessness Lead for the Housing committee, said he was “delighted” the States could help the charity, which was “doing amazing work supporting those at risk and experiencing homelessness”.
Deputy Garry Collins said Housing was “working extremely hard to fasttrack more supply of housing in Guernsey to tackle homelessness”.
