A hustings will be held on Thursday evening ahead of Alderney’s by-election on Saturday.
There are two vacant seats on the States of Alderney and four candidates nominated.
Each of the four candidates has also been asked to attend a session before the hustings where they can answer questions from voters on a ‘one-on-one’ basis.

Both events will take place at the Island Hall on Thursday evening.
The ‘one-to-one’ question session will be open to all between 17:30 and 18:45 in the Anne French Room before the hustings starts at 19:00.
The President of the States of Alderney will host the 90 minute hustings.
It will have a ‘Question Time’ format with members of the community invited to submit questions in advance.
“The topics that receive the most number of questions will, time permitting, be put by one member of the community on behalf of all those who have submitted a question on the same topic,” explained William Tate. “All four candidates will be asked to respond to each question.
“Members of the community are invited to submit their questions to my office on president.alderney@gov.gg by 5pm on Tuesday 4th of March.
“It is not intended to share the questions in advance. This will enable those who attend to assess the strengths and potential weaknesses of each candidate in order to assist in deciding where to place their votes.”
Mr Tate is hoping for a good turn out at the Island Hall on Thursday evening, before voters return to cast their ballots on Saturday.
“It is hoped that the combination of both formats will provide the best opportunity for the candidates to persuade the members of the community who attend to vote for them.
“Whether selected to ask a question or not, all members of the community are invited to attend.”
The hustings will also be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person.
It will be available to watch via the States of Alderney’s Facebook page.

The two vacancies in the States of Alderney were created by the resignation late last year of Nigel Vooght, followed by Bruce Woodhead’s resignation at the start of this year.
Their replacements will be elected on Saturday 8 March with polling to take place in the Members Room, Island Hall, Royal Connaught Square between the hours of 09:30 and 18:30.
The results are expected to be declared during that evening.
