A “juvenile male” has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after an alleged attack at Vale Castle.
Guernsey Police made a public appeal for witnesses to a reported assault on Thursday morning.
Within hours, a spokesperson for Guernsey Police confirmed an arrest had been made.
Officers would still like to speak with a dog-walker who was in the area at the time and may be able to offer help as a witness to the alleged crime.
“Enquiries remain ongoing and officers would like to speak to anyone who was in the area of Vale Castle between 7.45pm and 8pm on Saturday 21st March 2026,” said the spokesperson.
“We are particularly keen to speak with a man who was seen walking his dog down the main pathway from the castle, towards The Bridge, at around that time as he may have relevant information as a potential witness.”
Anyone with information that may assist the investigation further is asked to contact Guernsey Police on 222 222.
