Families flying between the two main Channel Islands will be able to take their children for free, this half term.

Aurigny, which operates the Jersey to Guernsey route, has introduced a ‘kids fly fare-free’ promotion between 14 and 23 February.

Each adult can take up to two children under 12 free, saving over £35 each per leg of the journey.

In the words of a now-famous ad: ‘That’s nearly £150 for a family of four!’

Aurigny’s Chief Commercial Officer, Philip Saunders, said: “We very much hope families will enjoy this opportunity to reconnect with their roots across both bailiwicks.”

A spokesperson said the company hoped the promotion would help “strengthen social, cultural and economic links between the islands”.

Flights need to be booked by 19 Feb and the discount will be automatically applied at checkout, a spokesperson said.
