The pool was damaged on Saturday 2 October and will be closed for emergency repairs – a temporary fix prior to the more extensive work scheduled in the months ahead.
On Friday 15 October, the slipway and short-term parking spaces next to the slipway will also be closed.
The pool, slip way and parking spaces should be re-opened by Saturday 16 October, weather permitting.
Early next year, more extensive work coordinated by the charity Vive La Vallette will refresh the concrete surrounding areas of the pools, as well as essential maintenance such as reinforcement and restoring stonework to reduce leakage, which will ensure the pools remain safe and functional for users.
Renovation works on the Ladies’ Pool are scheduled for later this month.
The slipway and some parking spaces may be occupied to allow access for contractors, machinery and storage; however the Gents’ Pool will remain in use throughout.
