A final call is being made for entries into next week’s Skipton Swimarathon which is supporting St John.
Skipton International says most availability is on Saturday and Sunday, with teams able to book a lane online.
More than 30 trophies are on offer including fundraising awards for those that pull in the most cash for the beneficiary; St John Guernsey LBG, with organisers hoping to beat last year’s fundraising total of around £65,000.
The event starts on Wednesday 8 October and runs to Sunday 12 at Beau Sejour.
John Stuart, Chair of the Skipton Swimarathon Committee, said a “final push from the Guernsey public” is needed to “fill the quota on the weekend.
“If you’ve been meaning to enter, now’s your last chance to sign up. Form a team, pick a time, and come be part of one of Guernsey’s most enjoyable fundraisers.”
Heather Langlois, CEO of St John Guernsey, added: “Thank you to everyone entering a team and raising funds this year. Support from the Skipton Swimarathon helps us deliver vital first aid education, event cover, and essential community services across the island.
“Ultimately, our mission is to teach people how to save lives and the money raised will make a real difference for both us and the wider community.”
