Guernsey’s Lieutenant-Governor will serve the island for a little longer than previously expected.
Sir Richard Cripwell CB CBE was supposed to leave post in February 2027, but his tenure has been extended to sometime in summer 2027, following approval from the King.
The exact date of his departure, along with who will succeed him, is currently unknown..
Sir Richard was sworn in as Lieutenant-Governor in February 2022.
He succeeded Vice Admiral Sir Ian Corder who served 5 years in the role.
