The Ladies’ Pool will reopen tomorrow.

A States spokesperson said the barriers will then be removed tomorrow morning, following a scheduled clean today.

The pool is expected to open from 09:00 onwards.

The pool was closed last week following the discovery that pollution from a cesspit had been leaking into it.

Environmental Health Director Tobin Cook said: “Two sea water samples have been taken from the pool while it’s been closed and both samples have met the ‘excellent’ standard.

“In addition, after drainage works took place more dye testing has been carried out and no further escaped dye has been detected.”

Routine testing of the pool will continue and will be reported at gov.gg/bwq.

The States said Environmental Health officers would remain in contact with the team at the Bathing Pools about “additional long-term protections” being put in place.
