Each team of six rowers will travel a total of 30K on the Concept rowing machines, in individual 1K stints.

The physically demanding fundraiser is now in its seventh year, with 16 teams set to take part.

There will be a few changes this year though, with experienced endurance rower Simon Johns tacking the 30K on his own, and Chris Tostevin-Hall setting himself a 100K challenge.

The event gets underway at 11:00 and teams are expected to finish between 12:45 and 13:15. Meanwhile, Mr Tostevin-Hall is planning to row from 09:30 to 17:00.

All money raised will go to the local branch of the MS Society to fund equipment, beds, hoists and accessories for those suffering with the worst aspects of the debilitating disease.

Approximately 150 people in Guernsey are known to have MS.

Supporters are encouraged to head along to the Beau Sejour concourse and cheer the rowers on throughout the event.
