The newest members of the Bailiwick of Guernsey Guild of Accredited Guides have bee awarded with their Bronze badges and certificates, after completing their course and assessments meaning they can now take out guests to the island on tours.

The Bronze Guide Presentation Evening took place at La Villette Hotel earlier this month.

Eric Grimsley, from the BGGAG training team said he was delighted to report that all delegates had passed the course.

Almost 70% of the 12 individuals achieved the highest grade of Distinction, he said

These Bronze guides will now have the opportunity to continue their tour guide training, working towards their Silver badges which will allow them to work as fully accredited, independent tour guides.

Seven of the new Bronze guides were able to attend the presentation evening, with Jo Dyer-West from Visit Guernsey handing out their badges and certificates, in front of an audience that included their course mentors, assessors and fellow members of the Guild.
