The 2025 Town Walking Tour season has started, and will be running through to the end of October.

The Bailiwick of Guernsey Guild of Accredited Guides says a guided walking tour or St Peter Port will be offered every day, besides Liberation Day.

“This is a fun and informative way to learn a bit about the history of St Peter Port and Guernsey, whilst being guided around our beautiful harbour town by a fully accredited silver or gold tour guide,” said a spokesperson.

“Each guide has a slightly different route and tour content and subjects covered may include the history of the harbour and Guernsey’s maritime history, the Occupation, Castle Cornet, the architecture of St Peter Port, the social history and real-life stories of local people, folklore stories, Guernsey’s quirks and customs, the constitution, flora and fauna, Guernsey’s artistic and literary links and much, much more. There really is something for everyone and it is perfect for both locals and visitors alike as there is always something new to learn.”

Tours will start outside the new Visitor Information Centre, Market Street and will last around 1.5 hours and costs £10 per person, with under 12s going half price.

In addition to the daily walk offering, silver accredited guide Ine Davies will be offering Dutch-speaking town walks from 12 May, until 1 September.

Some routes may include uneven ground, inclines or steps and unfortunately they are unable to allow any dogs, other than assistance dogs, on any public tours.
