A new filter will be installed at the junction of Barras Lane, Pleinheaume Road, and Pleinheaume Lane in the Vale this week.
The work will take place on Thursday and Friday, with the familiar markings being painted on the road and signs being put up.
The end sections of each of the three roads that meet at the junction will need to be closed to all motorised vehicles while the work takes place but cyclists will still be able to get through.

Paul James, Traffic and Highway Services Road Safety Officer, said the filter will make the three-way junction safer for everyone using it.
“This latest filter installation is part of Traffic & Highways’ commitment to improving not only the island’s general transport infrastructure, but, crucially, to improve safety for the whole community – in line with the Integrated Transport Strategy.
“Filters, where appropriate, can be an excellent way to improve traffic flow within a busy junction, and this new installation will improve safety for all road users of the area, with the aim of reducing further chances of accidents and near misses.”
