Police were positioned at Salerie Corner this week as part of a larger campaign launched against drink driving.
“Officers were deployed around Town today [5 December] to conduct drink drive and speed checks on islanders commuting into Town,” said a spokesperson.
“If people drink too much the night before, they can still be over the drink drive limit the next morning, so they should ensure they not only plan a safe way home, but also a way into work the next day to avoid getting behind the wheel without alcohol still in their system.
“Drink driving destroys lives. Don’t do it.”
