That report highlighted the work done by Guernsey Police and all other divisions of local Law Enforcement, while also showing some concerning statistics regarding rape and a surge in historical allegations.

Asked about the possibility of a new HQ in the future, Head of Law Enforcement Ruari Hardy said any chief officer would like to see their facilities and accommodation improved.
‘Going forwards we will be working closely with government looking at the best accommodation for Law Enforcement,” he said. “We obviously have to have a footprint in a number of places across the island, for example the airport and harbour, but our headquarters we need to be accessible to the public, we need good facilities for example in custody and managing some of the most vulnerable in our community, so there will be work ongoing into the future about the estate and what is going to be best for the organisation.”
Mr Hardy’s predecessor Patrick Rice became the Head of States Property Services after retiring from the force at the end of 2018.
