A serving Police Officer has been found guilty of two counts of assault.

Jesse Le Galloudec was found guilty by the Magistrate’s Court today following a trial, after pleading not guilty.

It’s understood the assault complaints relate to incidents which happened while he was off duty but working for Guernsey Police.

A spokesperson for Bailiwick Law Enforcement said Le Galloudec was charged with the two counts of assault on 2 June “following an investigation into a complaint regarding an incident that occurred in August 2024”.

“Today he was found guilty of these charges during a trial in the Magistrate’s Court,” said the spokesperson.

An internal misconduct investigation against Le Galloudec was paused while the criminal trial progressed but today Guernsey Police has said it will resume.

“Guernsey Police cannot comment further on this investigation while these conduct proceedings are ongoing,” said the spokesperson.
