People in Guernsey are being welcomed to a tour of the island’s history library and archive this weekend.
There will be two free tours of the Priaulx Library at 10:30 and 14:30 on Saturday, with booking required.
The tours of the historic building and special collections will take about half an hour.
A spokesperson said visitors will be able to discover the library’s “fascinating story and get hands on with a selection of our special collections exploring Guernsey’s relationship with the sea”.
People would “find out how the library can help you to discover more about Guernsey’s past”, they added.
The library has been free to the public since it opened in 1889.
As well as its book and special collections, the library hold’s Guernsey’s parish records, has access to online family history tools, and access to physical and digital newspaper archives – including Express.
