Junior sleuths are in for a free treat this half term with the Priaulx Library’s ‘I Spy’ trail inside the premises.
The activity is one of a number of free events running throughout the week.
Organiser Sarah Ferbrache said more young families are becoming aware of the areas for children within the Candie-based centre.
“We thought it might be nice to provide some weather-proof interesting activities for children to enjoy along with their parents or carers.
“Those who complete the I Spy trail will get a special sticker and the Library has also arranged wordsearch challenges and the chance to assist young visitors with finding out more about their ancestors.
“We also have a children’s section, including Horrible Histories – which always seem to fascinate youngsters and some vintage books that might also bring back memories for parents. They can also search things such as the Guernsey Press database online for any mentions of them or their friends or families.”
There is also a display of first covers for youngsters who see stamps as something of a contemporary novelty.
Anyone interested in going along should call the Priaulx Library on 721998.
Visitor parking is available on site.
