It follows a majority vote in January to replace Deputy Andy Taylor as VP with Deputy John Dyke. However, it remains unclear if ousting Deputy Taylor in this way is actually allowed.
The fallout leaves it unclear who the Authority’s Vice-President is. Its President, Deputy Victoria Oliver, is in favour of Deputy Dyke, but the States’ Blue Book – which records each member of the States of Deliberation and their relevant roles – still recognises Deputy Taylor as VP.

The DPA met yesterday to deal with a “heavy agenda” and the ongoing issue of who its VP is.
In a statement it said: “The Development & Planning Authority has met today and dealt with a very heavy agenda.
“While it has not yet reached a resolution on the ongoing matter of the role of Vice-President, the Committee has agreed to hold an extraordinary meeting on 27 March to discuss further this specific issue.”
