Male Uprising Guernsey has teamed up with a number of local venues to encourage people to ‘Raise Your Pint to Raise Awareness’ during the Six Nations Championship.

You can swap a standard glass for a cause that matters this year by buying a reusable plastic pint cup for £5.

Every cup sold will mean more money can be spent raising awareness and supporting those affected by male cancers in Guernsey.

Marvin (pictured top right), owner of the Cornerstone Group, started selling the pint cups at Nutmeg, and The Cock and Bull to encourage sports fans to support the charity now and in the run-up to the Six Nations Championship in February.

MUG is incredibly grateful for his support.

“It’s great to be teaming up with MUG for this initiative,” said Marvin. “The work the charity does to raise awareness of male cancers and wellbeing in the Bailiwick is incredible.

“Community sits at the heart of all of our venues so, if we can help start a few important conversations amongst our customers about keeping their health in check over a pint or two, then we’re all for it.

“In both Nutmeg and The Cock and Bull, we offer low and alcohol-free alternatives. So, whatever your tipple, not only can you get together with mates to catch the game, but with MUG’s reusable pint pots, you can also help spread the charity’s word – it’s a win-win.”

MUG Council Member, Chris (pictured top left), recently met with Marvin to celebrate the partnership and see the cups in action.

The initiative aims to make life-saving conversations as natural as a trip to the pub. By ‘raising a pint’, we hope to remind sports fans and men across the island to stay vigilant about their health and look out for one another.

Whether you’re a die-hard rugby fan or just out for a social drink, MUG invites you to grab a cup, fill it up, and help tackle male cancer head-on.
