Jersey competitors will be able to enter next February’s Guernsey Rally after Brittany Ferries agreed to put on additional inter-island trips that weekend.
The event is being held over the weekend of 20-21 February 2026.
While Brittany Ferries schedules usually offer a weekly inter island sailing for passengers and vehicles on a Wednesday, it will also be running a boat between Guernsey and Jersey on the Sunday so Jersey’s competitors can get back home after competing.
Brittany Ferries said it recognised this is vital to ensuring the spirit of competition between Guernsey and Jersey can continue.
The Sunday morning return sailing to St Helier will be open to both competitors and spectators as well as travelling officials, with the Islander able to carry both foot passengers and cars as well as any other equipment needing to be transferred between the islands said Paul Acheson, Commercial Director of Brittany Ferries.
“We are really pleased to support the Guernsey Rally, recognising the importance of maintaining inter-island links as well as the tourism benefit for Guernsey that the continuation of this important event will bring,“ he said.

February’s Rally is the 7th event held in Guernsey.
It was paused during covid and had a rest year in 2024 before returning triumphantly in 2025.
The organisers have said 28 stages will be contested over the two days next February – starting on the Friday afternoon, continuing that evening and all day on the Saturday.
“The Guernsey Rally is a highlight of our annual motorsport and tourism calendar, bringing together many spectators and participants,” said Karl Marshall and Caren Vidamour, Chairman and Director respectively of the Guernsey Rally.
“This year proved to be very successful with approximately 20 entries from Jersey and the UK. 2026 looks to be even greater, with 30 enquiries already received from overseas, Jersey and the mainland.
“Our sincere thanks goes to Brittany Ferries who have taken the time to meet with us, listen and support us by putting on an extra sailing to ensure our Jersey competitors get back home after the Rally. We really appreciate their help.”
Mr Acheson added: “This is all part of our commitment to supporting Island life. Acknowledging how much inter-island sport means, we have also now scheduled a day trip to Jersey on 16 May next year so as many football fans as possible can attend the Muratti Vase Final.”
