The first will involve removing vegetation from the wall face, and will be followed by a series of localised concrete repairs.
Guernsey Water is overseeing the work to ensure the reservoir wall remains in good condition.
Capital Delivery Manager Carl Falla explained: “Both sets of work need equipment placed within the walkway, which is why we have to close it to the public. It is an intricate and time consuming job, critical to ensuring it remains safe, in good condition and serves us for many generations to come.”
He said the work has been timed to avoid rainfall and to ensure water levels are low enough for the works to be completed.

The Reservoir is a vital water treatment and storage facility for the island and a popular spot for pedestrians who wish to enjoy the Millennium Walk and surrounding lanes.
Guernsey Water have confirmed that the rest of the Millennium Walk is open as usual, and parking is available at the east car park, accessible from Rue Des Choffins (what3words: pigtail.shakily.educated).
