An “exhausted” crew needed help from Guernsey’s Coastguard and lifeboat volunteers on Sunday morning.
The small sailing boat was around 5-miles to the south-west of the island when the crew found themselves unable to continue their approach to Guernsey.
They made a PAN PAN distress call at 07:03 that was picked up by Guernsey Coastguard which then coordinated a response.
This included calling out the RNLI’s All-Weather Lifeboat, the Spirit of Guernsey.
The volunteer crew were quick to respond with the lifeboat launching from St Peter Port Harbour at 07:21.
They were with the exhausted crew by 07:47 and they towed the vessel into the harbour arriving at 09:35.
Everyone aboard the sailing boat was “safe and well”.
