The States announced online today it had been taken down due to wear and tear on the red ropes which has exposed metal underneath.

It said “the metal core could have resulted in there being harp metal edges and would have become unsafe for children to play on”.

A safe replacement is being sought, if possible, by Agriculture, Countryside, and Land Management Services.

The area it stands was due to be upgraded through charitable funding but plans for this have not be finalised.
