Science, maths and engineering students are being invited to apply for a ‘strings-free’ bursary of up to £5,000.
The Whittaker Trust bursary is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from Guernsey studying STEM subjects, including medicine and computing.
“Unlike some bursaries”, students would not have any restrictions about where they worked or what career they chose after their studies.
Last year, the trust – which was set up by the late Dr Mary Whittaker – awarded three bursaries to students, but organisers hoped to “offer even more” this year.
The deadline to apply for is 30 April for courses starting this autumn.
