A picture of Matthew Bourgaize was posted on Guernsey Police’s Facebook page at 23:41 on Saturday, 11 January, because they were concerned for his welfare. A comment from someone believed to be known to Mr Bourgaize said he had not been seen since Friday afternoon.

Mr Bourgaize had still not been found at 08:30 Monday morning, when a spokesman for Guernsey Police told Express that a new image of Mr Bourgaize was going to be published to help aid the search for him.

The image (above) and another of Mr Bourgaize believed to have been captured on CCTV (below) were released by Guernsey Police on Monday afternoon, three days after what was believed to have been the last confirmed sighting of him.

Speaking on Monday morning, Inspector Liam Johnson said they were still concerned for Mr Bourgaize.

“We are about to put out an updated social media post with an image which will hopefully show exactly what he was wearing when he was last seen,” Inspector Johnson said.

“We still have concerns for his welfare, and if anyone has seen him we ask them to make contact with us.”

If you have seen Mr Bourgaize, contact the control room or Inspector Johnson on 725111.
